That was the 5th year in a row that the Missoula Hellgate boys advanced to the state “AA” soccer title game and their 4th victory! Hellgate also finished the season without a loss. The other three state soccer championships were all played in Yellowstone County. As the Whitefish boys go a perfect 15-0 with a 4-0 win over Laurel. Then in the two games that I announced Laurel beat Billings Central 2-0. That was the 5th year in a row that those two teams played in the title game! It was also just the 7th loss in 12 years for Central. Huge win for the Billings West girls as they defeated cross-town rival Skyview 1-0.
