So last night I witnessed a thrilling college basketball game as the 9th ranked Saints of Carroll College won in three overtimes over the Bears of Rocky 101-97. My thoughts….this game should have never even gone into a single extra period. With Rocky up three and five seconds to be played in regulation, Carroll had […]

My cousin Mike Erickson the A.D. in Hardin is taking me to Lodge Grass this evening for the high school basketball game of the year! As the top-ranked class “B” Lodge Grass Indians host the number one team in class “A” Hardin!
So you would think that after 40 years of sportscasting and calling more than 3,000 games I would have seen everything….right! Well, last night during the 143rd edition of the Billings West – Billings Senior game West high hit 8 three’s on their way to a 64-43 win….but they did not even attempt a free […]

I pick Clemson because I like their Q.B. and head coach. It is going to be a great game. The best thing about the college football playoffs this year….no Alabama.
It’s a big game in Lodge Grass this evening as #1 Huntley Project plays at second-ranked Lodge Grass. Both teams are unbeaten on the year. The last time that Huntley won it all was back in 2007 for Lodge Grass well it was 30 years ago when famed Elvis Old Bull led them to three […]

The Rustlers of CMR are about to get just their third head football coach in 48 years. Yesterday Gary Lowry resigned after being with the program for 35 seasons. Lowry was an assistant under Jack Johnson for 29 years than the program head coach for the last six. Think just how hard it was to […]
The final score was Billings Central 53 and Billings Senior 34. The win improved the Lady Rams record to a perfect 5-0 on the year. Plus it was also their 600th win in school history. The Lady Rams have had 30 winning seasons over the past 46 years and captured six-class “A” state titles.
Now I really do not do a lot of stories on players who have scored 1,000 points in their career but when you accomplished that mark early in your sophomore season….well that is amazing. Over the weekend in a 51-21 win for Melstone over Wibaux Miss Draya Wacker of Melstone went over 1,000 points for […]
